LES GAN

by Daniela Bognolo

Published by Hazan (Paris) for the Musée Barbier-Mueller of Ginevra.

It's a richly illustrated book that traces the history - and the symbolism of objects in bronze animal figures focused primarily on "objects of memory" - the small and underestimated realm of the end of the sixteenth century of the Gan (or Kaaba) in Burkina Faso, whose focal point was located at Opira, Poni area, where to this day the actual King resides.
